Marshall “Chad” Coleman was born on Christmas Day 1971 in Fort Hood, Tx. He grew up in central Texas in the small town of Salado. After moving to the larger city, Belton, Tx, he enjoyed academics and playing soccer. While trying to decide on his professional path, he attended both SMU and Texas Tech before deciding on a nursing career. He transferred to West Texas A&M University where he graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 1996. After spending 5 years in CCU at BSA, he transferred to the Heart Cath Lab. He decided to further his education by attending West Texas A&M once again to obtain his Masters in Nursing. In 2007 he became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Chad spent 5 years working at Thomas E. Creek Veteran’s Hospital and then 2 ½ years in the private sector in post-acute rehabilitation centers in Amarillo. He took the opportunity to work with Dr. Parker’s Sports Medicine and Orthopedics team in 2016.
Chad’s wonderfully busy life begins with being a father to 5 fantastic children. None of this could be accomplished without having the love and support of his wife Katrina. When time allows, he likes staying active with a variety of sports including soccer, golf and power ping pong. His friends know him best for his competitive spirit and love for life.
